This issue is a bit shorter in content but
around here it's mid summer and for the
most part, not much going on to get excited
about. Another 'Death of..' report, well,
Giveaways are not going away, a high priced
Traffic secret, I'm sure you were holding
your breath waiting to get and generally
more e-books that won't help.
I've some advice though, your best bet is to
study the sales pages, not to buy the products.
You see, by reading those sales messages and
learning how they are written, the sales copy,
you'll be able to better write your own sales
copy and generate more cash in your pocket
thru your own marketing.

Successful Selling Strategy

The first attribute of a successful selling strategy is a website that provides information about the products and the service they are
providing. The advantage of that is we can sell those products and
services online. Selling is a talent to be cultivated. It requires a lot
of understanding to find what the customer is looking for and then fulfilling those needs.
It is very important to get the complete attention of reader.
The content of the message should be to make the reader think.
This can be achieved by using power words, along with color and
visuals. Once the attention is grabbed, it should be retained to
the end of the message. The customer should be prompted to take
some action and their involvement should be sought. They can be
made to sign up for newsletters, view a video, take a survey or
request more information.
The consumer should be convinced to buy the product. Explain
logically how the product will fulfill a need or solve some
problem. Strong emotional words should be included in the
presentation. The customer should either fear the loss of the
product if he doesn’t buy it in time or he should be given
the greed of the advantages the product can provide.
These reasons will create an emotional impulse and will make
them think that they have no other option but to buy it.
They will have a logical reason to make the purchase.
The emotions of the buyer should be manipulated with words.
Something like ‘limited edition’ or ‘limited period offer’ will create a
sense of urgency. The customer needs to think they should get
this product right now. Either the product itself can be discounted,
or some type of extra bonus is time limited, or only so many copies
sold before the price 'jumps' up.
Always hold seasonal sales and offers. Since all your competitors
will be giving out different offers to attract customers, it’s a
good point to have one, too. But don't copy or imitate some one
else with the exact same offer but make a unique offer to try and
keep the customer from going to your competitors site. Depending
on your product, you might offer free shipping or free samples
of another product line you offer. A first time buyer may be
tempted by an introductory price just for new customers.
You need to make your prospective customer feel good about buying,
that they are getting a 'good' deal at a great price and it will help
them in some way to be better off with your product than without it.
The end of the sales message is where most people mess it up. The
whole effort will be wasted if the customer gets a second thought.
They need to be convinced throughout your message to buy your
product right to the very end. The key is to tell the customer
exactly what to do after they finish reading your message. Make
it very clear they MUST 'click this link', or ‘grab this opportunity
now’ or ‘pick up the phone and dial this number right now’, etc.
Do not include links or short advertisement for other products or
services. This will only shift the focus of the reader and they
might have a second thought. Every product needs it's own
dedicated sales page. You don't have to have a seperate website
for each product you have to offer, but make sure each product
page sells only that one item.
Anytime you give someone more than one option, they start to think
and will more often than not, decide not buy. Basically, the whole
idea is to influence the mind of the customer until they buy.
That's not to say you can not have different sizes or colors of
like products, say scented candles, on the same sales page, but
rather, stay away from combining those candles with wine glasses.
Here is a tip on another big mistake many make, not following up with
customers and not asking for the sale. Keep and maintain a list of
those existing customers who did buy your candles and from time to
time offer special offers that do include those wine glasses.
