Niche Marketing, The Way To Succeeding Online

Niche Marketing is the last great frontier for the small business entrepreneur. Out there in the ‘real’ world, small businesses don’t
have a half fair chance of competing against the giant international corporations of the world. The Internet has evened the odds for
small business, it has created a real equal opportunity for those
who are willing to use it.
There are several different ways to make use of niche marketing
and succeed. All of them require getting a domain and a webhost,
building web pages and adding content. Those are the basic needs
of Internet Marketing in any form. You will also need a reliable autoresponder system to communicate with your customers and
to get subscribers. Whether you create a basic website or use a
blog format is up to you. But either way, without a visable presence,
nobody will know you exist.
Then there are the choices of how to go about building a successful
niche marketing site that will provide you with a profit, hopefully a
very large profit. And, you need to decide what subject is your new
niche site going to be about. Remember, niche marketing is about
anything you want it to be and it is NOT the internet marketing niche
which is altogether a different topic on it's own. A niche topic is
a specific subject, i.e., not just 'Dogs' but can be broken down to
a certain breed, Beagles for instance. Then you have 2 recognized
sizes by height. By breaking down a general subject (Dogs) to a
specific topic, (Beagles), you create a more 'targeted' market source.
And a targeted market will produce more income than a general market,
as in the case of Internet Marketing, which is generally considered
the whole 'ball of wax' covering anything and everything, including affiliate, MLM, software and e-book sales.
For your niche subject, start with what you know the most about.
Are you a coin collector? That's a big market if you didn't know,
and quite profitable if you know your stuff. Antique glassware more
your speed? Then go for it, but as you can see, it's a niche, a
small portion or corner of the world that is much easier to market
to than the internet marketing niche. But you need to be specific,
there is a lot of glassware types, as well as many coin types. So,
is it Tiffany Glass or U.S. only coins?
There is also no reason you can't have more than one niche site.
You may have many interest, but start with one, build that up before
you go on for more. The reason? You will be constantly trying to work
on two at a time and won't be very successful with either one. With
your attention on one, the other falls behind as you won't be able
to keep it updated, add in new products or answer your customers
in a timely manner. First thing you know, you'll be running in
circles and going nowhere.
The best niche to get into? The one you can give the answers to
the most asked questions. In other words, if you can give a solution
to people's problems, you'll make it big time. Join forums that relate
to your subject choice, read what the most common issues are, then
work on finding a 'fix' to those issues. Put that answer on your site,
let the forum readers know where to find it, and you're in business
making a profit.
How do you let people know other than a single forum?
* You could create an informational product. An informational product
can be articles, reports, columns, audio or video. These can be sold as
stand alone products or used for advertisement or promotional use.
* You can build a content rich web site that will be so interesting and full of articles it will draw potential customers over and over.
No, you need not write them all yourself. You can referrence to other
writers' work and even share links with another site in your niche.
* You can publish a newsletter or ezine that is full of pertinent information. Give readers updates, point them to new information
and as long as it actually informs, you could even have a paid
subscription and make more money that way. Even a free version
will work well and let your subscribers forward it to their friends.
Add a Tell A Friend form and let them get new subscribers for you.
In fact, you could do both a free and paid version.
You only need to make sure that your topic must be one that helps
people solve a problem, makes them healthier or happier, or provides
them with information that they want or need in some way.
And be sure your website content is relevant, timely and interesting
to the people who are reading it and the site is easily navigated.
Other than that, the world is your stage, perform in a professional
manner and there's nothing to keep you from your niche marketing
being a success.
