Welcome to a brand new year, and maybe a new you.
Messed up any checks yet with the date change? I seem
to at least once every new year. At least making an '8'
out of a '7' though abvious isn't too big a deal.
Resolutions - I don't make any. Unless you count 'working
smarter' and less wasted efforts as a contiuous yearly
thing.
Working smarter by using more 'automation' and why not,
the technology is around. Less wasted effort by dropping
more things that aren't working. Dump those programs
and product promos that don't pay back. Can't sell
everything and if it's losing money for you, then stop.
Work more on with what does pay you back.
After all, you are trying to make money, so only stick
with what does. Nothing says you have to stay loyal to
a dead end program. Regardless of the hype they give
you or promises of better tools and improved products.
If it isn't working for you after you have given it a
reasonable time period and put some effort into it,
then chances are it will never work for you.
Go on to something else.
We all can't sell cars, insurance or real estate, so move
on. Paying out more than you are bringing in is not a
goal to work toward.
Re-build your site, re-think where you are and where
you are going. Dare to go in a new direction. Learn to
re-write your ads/presentations, and get it out of your
mind that one e-book, one product or any one program
will make you rich and happy. That does not exist. If
that were true, then we'd all still be using a horse and
buggy. Which is good for me as I never liked horses.
Ever try to break a 'dumb' horse? Believe me, not all
horses are the same.
First of all, you need to define what rich means to you
but most important, know what makes you happy. Did
you know there are a lot of people who don't know what
being happy is? They spend their whole life not knowing.
They don't even know themselves. Why do you think
there are so many 'shrinks' around? Seems everthing bad
that happens requires counceling sessions to discuss it.
Life is not what Walt Disney built. Life is what you build.
Got a money draining program? Drop it BEFORE they take
the house away. You'll be happier.

Multiple Income Streams For Affiliate Marketing

You must have heard the term “multiple streams of income”
before. Do you understand what it means? For many business
people, creating multiple streams of income online or offline
is a way of securing themselves as well as their businesses
for the future. They also believe that it can save them from
the so-called famine effect in the business industry. Once
you are engaged in an affiliate marketing business, it is
advisable that you have multiple streams of affiliate
marketing income so that if one of those income streams
vanished, it will not upset you the way losing your sole
income stream would. If you depend on just one source of
income and this single stream has been downsized or even
disappears, you’ll surely find yourself in a deep, dark hole.
Just ask the most successful people online and you’ll find
out they have established multiple streams of income, and
not limited to only online ventures, either.
Either part time or full time, being an affiliate marketer is
an excellent way to create multiple income streams, as
there is an unlimited amount of products and services in
which to promote. You can make affiliate commissions
without having to invest the big bucks, making your own
products or worrying about book keeping and customer
support. All you have to do, in simple terms, is to promote
and resell the products and services of any merchants you
choose and pass along potential customer’s to the merchant’s
website. They take care of the whole process in collecting
funds, getting the product to the purchaser and paying you
your commissions.
If you are just starting out that seems easy enough to do.
However, there are things you should do beyond that. First
of all, have your own website and use that to promote all the
products you want. Create seperate pages for each item by
uploading the sales material into it's own folder. That allows
your potential customer to focus on just one item at a time,
and make the product link go to a lead capture page first
before going to the merchant's site. That way you get them
onto your mailing list, whether they purchase or not, and you
get to make more offers to them of similar products in the
future.
The advantage of having a website right from the start is as
your business grows you have a way of growing with it. Return
your profits into the business to purchase your own products
so you start earning 100% of the sales. You'll look more like a
Pro instead of a newbie. People will be more likely to purchase
from you if you write your own ads, make comments on how the
product helped you, give good and bad points and even include
testimonials from your happy customers.
Another important point to your own site is the fact any ads
you do place in other places on the internet will have your
sites name in the hyper link, not the merchants. Wouldn't it
make more sense to advertise for yourself like this, me@mysite.com,
instead of advertising for someone else and sending your future
customers to alreadyrich@bigshot.com?
Using multiple merchants for your affiliate marketing in the
same website helps to create your multiple streams of income
in that if ever one of the web merchants closed their program
you can keep right on going. Just delete that product folder
and add something new. By having that particular products'
link going to your own lead capture page it's not an issue as
it would otherwise be if you just place affiliate links all
over the internet going to a dead site. That won't make you
look very good and links on your own site can be changed at
anytime. It takes your time, effort and money to advertise, so
don't get stuck in waisting all that work on a dead link.
However, you should choose only those affiliate programs
that interest you so that you can effectively advertise and
promote them. Don’t ever be tempted into signing up for
numerous affiliate programs in the hope that one of them
will bring income. Select wisely and don’t be engaged in
selling products you know nothing about. Go with the stuff
you understand and keep the products in the same niche
on one website. They don't cost much anymore these days,
so when you do expand into a new area, create a new
website for it.
Patience, persistence and a thirst for knowledge is the real
key to success. Add in staying focused and there isn't
anything you can't accomplish.

If you've ever tried Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising,
then you know this to be true...
The more targeted your keywords, the better the result.
For example, when you are first creating your keyword
list, you want the list to be as big as possible.
It's important to think like your customer.
What terms would your customers use to describe your
products or services?
Once you've generated some appropriate keywords, you
then want to get a little creative by expanding your
list to include as many relevant variations as possible.
Things like alternate spellings (e.g. light, lite),
plurals, and synonyms are all examples of strategies
to expand your keyword list.
Then you want to "scrub" your keyword list and get rid
of any terms that maybe too generic. Basically you want
to get rid of keywords that are going to bring you
untargeted traffic.
Here's an example...
If we were advertising Harley Davidson parts, the keyword
"bike" would also bring in searches for bicycles. Obviously
that's useless to us which is why you'll want to get rid of
these generic terms.
There's no sense in paying for keywords that won't convert
into sales!
Once you've scrubbed your list, the third step is to
target your keywords by adding some matching options.
Using phrase, exact, or negative matches can help you
keep your costs low.
Here's what that means...
Phrase Match - If you enter your keyword in quotation
marks, as in "tennis shoes," your ad will appear when
a user searches on the phrase tennis shoes, in this
order, and possibly with other terms in the query.
For example, your ad will appear for the query red
tennis shoes but not for the phrase "shoes for tennis".
Phrase matching is more targeted than broad matching,
but slightly more flexible than exact matching.
Exact Match - If you surround your keywords in brackets
such as [tennis shoes], your ads will appear when users
search for the specific phrase "tennis shoes", in this
order, and without any other terms in the query.
For example, your ad won't show for the query red tennis
shoes. Exact matching is the most targeted option.
Negative Keyword - If your keyword is tennis shoes and
you make it a negative keyword by adding a minus sign
such as "-red", your ad will not appear when a user
searches on "red tennis shoes".
It allows you to eliminate unwanted keywords.
By applying more focused matching options to your keywords,
you can reach the most appropriate prospects, reduce your
cost-per-click (CPC), and increase your ROI.
